In the summer of 2007 the manifestation NL: A season of Dutch Arts in the Berkshires will take place in de Berkshires (USA). On April 24 you can meet several participating Dutch artists and cultural attaché's from the consulate general in New York. This meeting will zoom in on the state of affairs of cultural exchange between the Netherlands and the United States.

In “Culture in America,” Mr Martel, a former French cultural attaché in Boston, challenges the conventional view that (French) culture financed and organized by the government is entirely good and that (American) culture shaped by market forces is necessarily bad.

Springdance/ festival
Springdance/festival 07 (April 18 - 28) presents several American dance projects in the Netherlands. On April 24 at 21 h., Marc Bamuthi Joseph brings us Scourge at the Springdance/festival in the Stadsschouwburg in Utrecht. Reservations: mail@springdance.nl, Tickets are 15 euro.
